Isn’t it ironic that the 100th post to this blog falls on the exact day of its first birthday??
To celebrate both occasions, I’m going to do a little something special! A little contest, so to speak. The prize? A box full of goodies from Columbus. Not sure yet what exactly will be in the box (whatever suits my fancy and whatever flavors I think best represent the spirit of Central Ohio, and a few of my favorite things), but I promise it won’t disappoint.
I’ve shared a bit of myself with you over the past year, so I’d love to know more about you. To enter, simply comment on this entry by telling me a bit about who you are and what you like about my blog, what you hate, what you’d like to see more/less of, if you have a blog of your own, etc. The winner will be drawn at random from all comments to this post at 11:59pm on October 31st. This is open to everyone worldwide, so speak up and let me know you’re reading.

My name is Kelly and I live in Columbus. I don’t have a blog, but I really like yours! I love that you post about the North Market and one day I’ll make it out there to shop (only have I gotten to eat), but even still just to be able to see the goodies that are so close to me is cool. I also love the recipes and seeing the food porn. I don’t know how often you eat out, but I’d like to see more recommendations for area restaurants, because I’m too chicken to try anything new without someone else’s experiences, lol.

You have a beautiful blog and it has great content. It’s very graphics intensive and locks up my computer at home and my husband’s computer at work. It’s difficult to read very often and I was wondering if anyone else has had the same issue with your website. I only mention this because I would love to continue to read your blog, but I take a risk every time I do.

I’m in Columbus, too. I love the Events section and the Friday Roundups. My favorite entry has to have been the Taste of the Future article. The pictures were amazing!

I’m a blogless university student in British Columbia, still trying, in my third year, to adjust to living in what I consider a big city.
On your blog, I think I like the recipes best because there are lots of good cold-weather ideas (which is important here), although I have to admit that I haven’t had a chance to try any of them yet - it’s hard to find the motivation when I’m cooking for just myself. Also, the cute pet photos are always fun, but I like that they’re posted weekly rather than being the main focus of the blog.
For obvious reasons, I don’t find the lists of events in Columbus very useful, although I can see how somebody who lived there would.
Congratulations on 100 posts and a year!

Hi, my name is Talia and I live in Columbus, and I think you have a wonderful blog. I enjoy the food porn pictures, the events section, and I think it’s sweet when you reminisce about your childhood and what Oma used to cook. It makes me wish my grandparents (who were real chefs) were still alive so I could learn from them.
Anyway, congratulations, and I hope you have a happy next 100 entries!

Wow! I’m blown away. I accidentally stumbled upon your blog (just today). I’m like a kid in a candy store as you seem to love my favorite subject! Cooking, recipes and sharing. I will mark this as a favorite. I live in Maine, around the Portland area. I’m a paralegal and love to cook in my spare time. (even when the time reallyisn’t “spare” time). I will be back to visit. Let’s get to 200 messages very soon! Enjoy and thank you for the warm welcome. Donna from Maine
