Melon with Prosciutto

Just a quick pic of today’s breakfast, melon (not sure what kind, it looks like canteloupe on the outside, like honeydew on the inside, and tastes like a combination of the two), with a bit of Schinken (German Prosciutto) from Thurn’s.

The saltiness of the schinken was a nice foil to the juicy sweetness of the melon.  I can see why this is a common pairing. I didn’t go the farmer’s markets this morning, as we were pretty much looking at more of the same from last week, and I still have a good portion of last week’s stuff to use up. To be honest, I don’t have any business doing any grocery shopping at all until I’ve used up some of my pantry and freezer stores. I’m full to overflowing.
