Mimi cafe is definitely one of the finest small coffee shop in Columbus. First is about the sandwich, the bread is 100% French style, the pork and pickle are home made. The owner used to cook for Japanese Steak House, so he will make you sandwich special and carefully make like "sushi", but of course it will taste like sandwich, it will beat Subway sandwich any time, any day of the year.
Second is the French dark roasted coffee add on to that is condensed milk, it will make any Dunkin Donut coffee tastes funny.
Third is Pho, the famous Vietnamese soup that has been popular for the last few decades, the main 5 spices and beef make it special, on the side is hoisin sauce and Vietnamese chili sauce will make you mouth watery. I have travel the world and tasted Vietnamese Pho in Columbus area, they got the best... so far. The best Pho is in my opinion is Pho Hoa on Pasteur St. in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Take number 1 (sandwich) and number 2 (coffee) will make this join a place must visit, add on to that is Pho, what else can you ask for.
The service is fast, the owner is friendly (Sonny).

Well, don't take my words for it. Visit them and you will know what I talked about, good food, nice place to hang out, and the food are very affordable.

Cheer, happy eating.

My son and I take tae kwon do on down the strip mall from MiMi and it's our reward for our workout to get to eat lunch there on Saturdays. Our favorite is the bahn cuon, but we really like the pho and bahn mi. The coffee is great: reminds me of melted coffee ice cream over ice! We also enjoy the bubble tea, really just a fruit milkshake with big tapioca pearls. For a restaurant with only 4 dishes from which to choose, we sure are giving them a lot of business! And the owner and employees (family?) are great.

[...] When I posted my recent review of Mi Mi Cafe on Columbus Underground, one of the responses I got advised me to try Nazareth Deli, located on the other side of the same shopping center. The next time we were in the area, we gave it a try, sampling a few different dishes. While we were told the gyros were to die for, we discovered pretty darn quickly that their rice dishes were where it’s at. [...]

I've been visiting OH because my family is moving here, and I've tried Mi Mi Cafe back in August. My GOD was that a delicious banh mi! It's better than a lot of banh mi's that I've had in Little Saigon in California and it will definitely help with the homesickness when I permanently move in December.
