I’m finally getting around to posting September’s roundup. But before I post the recipes, I just have a few administrative tasks to get out of the way….
First, if you want to go to the meetup at Stauf’s this upcoming Sunday, and either don’t know about it yet or haven’t signed up, go here and RSVP. Second, I’m going to be adding/revamping a few things over the next week or two. I have a bunch of updates to make to the Food Related Events section, along with updating the Food Blog Directory and adding/removing some restaurants in the menu section (is it just me or are as many restaurants closing as are opening these days?). Also, over the next month, I’m going to be adding a list of places to get local foods in Ohio. Keep an eye out for it.

I haven’t done much fine dining in my lifetime, but this meal The Hungry Hedonist had at Alinea looks absolutely amazing. Chicago is relatively close to Ohio, one of these days I’d love to go for a long weekend in Illinois with my husband and enjoy this for myself.
Leave it to Lisa the Waitress to sniff out what looks to be one of the best weekend brunch options in town. Here I thought L’Antibes closed, and now I find out that not only are they open, but are serving brunch? Oh my, that lobster and potato gratin with sunny side up egg has me drooling…
Can I take a second to say how (tongue-in-cheek) jealous I am of the get together some of the Daring Bakers had up in Cleveland a while ago? I know I’m no longer a Daring Baker (at least until the health issues clear up), but no love for the Columbus contingent, ladies? Well, at least I have a list of places I absolutely *have* to check out the next time I head to Cleveland, which recently has been about once a month or so…
Also, we’re still trying to firm up our plans for Thanskgiving, since it’s just my husband and I. Are there any other couples or singles or people without firm plans or a large family that want to get together for either a meal in a restaurant or a Thanksgiving potluck? If so, comment on this post and I’ll email you. Alternatively, even if you aren’t interested, if you had to eat out for Thanksgiving, where would you go?
