That truffled duck-egg app seems to have launched quite a few innovations. I noticed at Twisted Vine a week or two ago that they were having a similar appetizer at a champagne tasting (one of their folks, Anna, was kind enough to volunteer at the Alana's dinner and was wowed by the appetizer too). And I myself modified my morning scrambled-egg recipe, which gets rave reviews from no less an authority than my wife!, to include truffle oil -- see http://slowfoodcolumbus.wordpress.com/bear/eggs/ for details.

Awesome, awesome combination.
