I’ve been tagged for a meme by Daisy Lane Cakes, and it’s been a while since I’ve done one, so here goes. I’m going to break the rules a tiny bit, as I never know who to tag for these things. So if you haven’t already done this one, and are feeling up to it, consider yourself tagged.
The Rules: Each participant answers questions about him or herself. At the end of the post the participant tags 5 people. Their names are posted letting them know they’ve been tagged. They then have to read the participant’s blog. The tagged lets the tagger know when she’s posted her answers.
What was I doing 10 years ago? 10 years ago, Paul and I had just moved to Columbus and we were moving into a new apartment. Not too much later, I started working doing tech support for a major computer retail store/mail order outfit, which was the first job I ever had that paid me over $20,000/yr. My sister had moved to Ohio with us, and was living with us in our apartment. She didn’t have kids yet.
What are five (non-work) things on my to-do list for today: Take a shower (natch), go out to pick up some shelving and an electric cooler for my trips to the farmer’s market this summer, reshelving all my cookbooks, watch Hell’s Kitchen, and lots and lots of housework.
Snacks I enjoy: Hummus and pita. Strawberries and granola with yogurt. Chili dogs. Landjaeger.
Things I would do if I were a billionaire: too many to mention – set up a foundation that would fund the charities that are dear to my heart; pay off my student loans and put my sisters through college; sell my house (even if it were at a loss) and buy a house/farm with a gourmet kitchen (and a cave on the property, if possible), and fully stock it with the best ingredients in the world; go on a one year around the world cruise, and that’s just to start with. Spending that kind of money is a lot of work.
Places I have lived: Vineland, NJ; Millville, NJ; Newtown, PA; Lumberton, NJ; Newfield, NJ; Harrisburg, PA; Hiliard, OH; Dublin, OH; Columbus, OH.
Jobs I have had: Telephone operator at an answering service, hostess/waitress, pizza/stromboli maker, fast food drone, home health aide, receptionist, market researcher, telemarketer, customer service representative, provider services specialist, administrative assistant, web designer, cashier/ice cream dipper at a convenience store, central station operator, direct care assistant for developmentally disabled adults, technical support specialist, too many others over the years to mention (I started working at 15, and moved around A LOT). Now? I blog full time and am letting my college degrees gather dust.
