Can I just say that it’s really, really nice to finally participate in a Tuesdays with Dorie assignment that doesn’t involve baking? Not that I don’t like to bake, but it’s friggin’ hot out. Pudding is much more up my alley this week. And this week’s recipe was for a delectable chocolate pudding.
Previous to this recipe, I haven’t had much luck with making pudding. It always comes out lumpy for some reason. Not this recipe, though – it’s delicious. The chocolate in it isn’t one note like many others I’ve had, I guess using both chocolate and cocoa powder gives it a certain depth of flavor I haven’t seen previously. In short, it’s GOOOD. I’ll be making this one again.
Next week’s recipe involves rhubarb, so I’ll probably be sitting that one out as I don’t like rhubarb in sweet dishes, only savory. That, and I haven’t seen any rhubarb around lately – that’s more of an late May/early June crop in these parts.
