Not food related, but what did you locals think of that wind storm this weekend? (for those of you who are not local – here in Ohio we had hurricane-force wind gusts and 45-50mph sustained winds from the remnants of Hurricane Ike, and the town was pretty much crippled – trees and live power lines down everywhere, and 53.9% of the county is without power)? Personally, we made it through just fine, I lost my tomato plant and a couple of pepper plants, plus this big ‘ole tree in my backyard. I’m just counting my blessings that I didn’t lose power, because my freezer and fridge are PACKED right now, and they say that some customers may be without electric for up to a week – my mom is among those who lost power.
